Virginia Aviation Award Recipients
Since 1976, the Virginia Aviation Awards have been presented to those who have made significant contributions to Virginia Aviation.
In 1996, specific awards for Virginia Airport Manager of the Year, Person of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award were established.
The services for which individuals are nominated include airport development and improvement, community relations, aviation education, promotion, safety services, aviation technology, aviation policies, flight instruction, aircraft maintenance, and aviation events.
