Saturday Morning Coffee and Wings Date: December 20, 2025 Time: 10:00 EST Type of Event: Webinar Topic: Beyond the Checkride- All You Wanted To Know About Stalls Join us for A VIRTUAL cup of coffee, a donut, and a LIVE WEBINAR as Brian talks with us about aerodynamic stalls. In FAA checkrides at all levels pilots are required to demonstrate stalls and recovers. Many pilots don't like to perform stalls. Today we will learn about stalls, what they are, what causes them, and how to know when we are approaching a stall. We will learn about real-world inadvertent stalls and their role in aviation accidents. Lastly, we will discuss tips for CFIs teaching stalls, and exercises that all can perform to become more comfortable with aerodynamic stalls Aviation safety will be discussed, and is central to the content of this presentation. AOPA Rusty Pilot’s Seminar Date: January 17, 2026 Time: 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. Location: Falwell Airport, 4332 Richmond Highway, Lynchburg, VA 24501 Hosted by 3 Amigos Flight Club. Instructed by AOPA Foundation Rusty Pilots Presenter Ron Timmermans. Life may have gotten in the way, but the dream of flight can be yours again. Returning to the skies is not as difficult as most rusty pilots think. We are inviting you back in the cockpit and will help you get there. Come and participate in this Rusty Pilots program with fellow lapsed pilots. We will help you understand what’s changed in aviation since you last took the controls and brush up on your aviation knowledge. AOPA developed the Rusty Pilots program in partnership with local flight training providers in order to create the best environment for getting you back in the air and a part of the general aviation community. It is easier than most people think – no FAA check ride or test. You might not even need a medical. Plus, you’ll get two to three hours of ground instruction toward your flight review!
