Entrance to the DOAV building

The Virginia Department of Aviation is located on Richmond International Airport across the street from the Air Traffic Control Tower.  The address is 5702 Gulfstream Road, Richmond, Virginia 23250-2422.

Please submit your company's letterhead information about your company and the goods and services that you provide.  You will be added to our vendor mailing list upon receipt of that information.

Refer to the Licensing Airports page for information about registering/licensing of private airports.

The Virginia Department of Aviation only licenses and provides funding to public-use airports.  Since there are no licensed, public-use seaplane bases in Virginia, we have no documents, regulations, etc. regarding them.  Typically, the use of ponds, lakes, and waterways by aircraft becomes a local government issue.  Contact the SPA (Seaplane Pilots Association) or the local government (city, county, etc.) controlling the waterway you intend to use to inquire as to whether its use by aircraft is regulated or restricted.

You may obtain a vendor's manual ("How to do Business with the Commonwealth of Virginia")by contacting the Department of General Services, Division of Purchases and Supply, 805 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219, (804) 786-5494.
