14 Virginia Airports Awarded $4.55 Million
The Virginia Aviation Board awarded more than $4.55 million to 14 airports across the Commonwealth. The money will be used to fund 18 projects that will improve the airports and the services they provide.
Aviation License Plates Fund Virginia Education Programs
The Virginia Department of Aviation is transferring more than $60,000 to the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center to support aviation education in the Commonwealth.
VAB Awards $1.08 Million; 13 Projects Funded at 9 Airports
The Virginia Aviation Board (VAB) funded 13 projects at nine airports across the Commonwealth during its May 16 meeting, which was held in Martinsville, Va. A total of $1,087,871 was awarded during this quarterly meeting of the VAB.
Aviation Board Awards Nearly $22 Million to Support Virginia Airports
Governor Ralph Northam today announced that the Virginia Aviation Board has awarded nearly $22 million in funding to support Virginia’s 66 public-use airports. A public-use airport is one that is available for use by the general public without a requirement for prior approval of the airport owner or operator, as defined by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Maggie Ragon Appointed to Aviation Board
Gov. Ralph Northam appointed Maggie A. Ragon to the Virginia Aviation Board recently. Ragon will represent Virginia Aviation Region 5, which includes Blackstone, Brookneal-Campbell County, Crewe Municipal, Danville Regional, Dinwiddie County, Falwell, Farmville Regional, Lynchburg Regional, New London, Smith Mountain Lake and William M. Tuck airports.
