UPS Closes Worldport Operations During Winter Storm

UPS shut down sort operations and cancelled domestic inbound flights on Monday at their Worldport Global air hub in Louisville, Kentucky because of the severe winter storm. The Worldport global air hub serves as UPS’ main hub in the U.S.  This was the first time that weather caused a closing at the facility which has been in operation since 2002.

Sort operations at the UPS regional hub in Dallas also ceased during the storm.

Both locations resumed operations on Tuesday.
