2022 Virginia Aviation Awards Nominations Now Accepted

The Virginia Department of Aviation is now accepting nominations for the Virginia Aviation Awards. These awards recognize individuals who have made a significant contribution to aviation in Virginia.

The three awards include Airport Manager of the Year, Aviation Person of the Year and Aviation Lifetime Achievement Award. Any person who has provided a service in any field of aviation can be nominated for the Virginia Aviation Awards.

Example services for nominees include: airport development and improvement, community relations, aviation education, promotion, safety services, aviation technology, aviation policies, flight instructing, aircraft maintenance, and aviation events.

It is possible to qualify for all 3 awards, so we encourage you to nominate individuals for each category they qualify for. All nominations must be submitted to the Virginia Department of Aviation by 5 p.m. on May 13, 2022. A committee will review the nominations and make a selection based upon qualifications.
