Boeing Resumes Some Operations

Approximately 2,500 of Boeing’s 30,000 furloughed employees are heading back to work today.  Many of the workers are involved in Department of Defense projects, such as the KC-49 tankers and the P-8 Poseidon patrol aircraft; others are responsible for maintaining hundreds of stored 737 Max aircraft.

Boeing will be performing health checks on every employee prior to the start of each shift.  The company is also providing a full complement of personal protective equipment to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
