Ambassador Passport Reviews Temporarily Suspended

Individuals who complete the Virginia Aviation Ambassador's Program will need to hold on to their completed passport books until further notice.

Previously, participants completing the program scheduled an appointment at the Virginia Department of Aviation's office on Richmond International Airport to have their passports reviewed and to try on a leather A-2 jacket to select a size.  Following the current COVID-19 recommendations for social distancing and limits on gatherings, the agency is now unable to schedule these appointments or accept walk-in visitors to have passports reviewed.

This does not mean that the Virginia Aviation Ambassadors Program has ended.  We are only suspending final passport reviews temporarily. Those completing the program are asked to hold on to their completed passports until a notice is posted that we can begin reviewing them again.  Ambassadors who complete the program will still get their leather jackets - there will just be a delay.
