Three Aviation Halloween Events in Virginia

Below are a few events that are taking place this weekend, and will include aviation and Halloween fun. Click on the event links for more information.

The Military Aviation Museum is having a Halloween Hangar event Saturday October 31 and there are two times available to stop by and have some fun. The Museum’s staff and volunteers are hard at work creating spooky and fun decorations for the trick-or-treaters who will be visiting during the Haunted Hangar event this weekend. Space is still available, and children under 12 wearing costumes will be admitted free, with parental supervision.

Shannon Airport will be hosting a Fall Open House Saturday from 11am until 4pm. There will be a static aircraft display, games for kids, and vendors. Airplane/helicopter rides will be offered for a small fee, as well as tours of the Shannon Air Museum. Robin's Nest Café will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and its classic Cuban sandwich.

The Flying Circus will hold a Bonus Air Show Saturday, October 31. Airshow begins at 1:30pm, gates open at 11am and you can purchase a biplane ride before and after the show. Candy drop and face painting for the kids and wine tasting for the adults. Be sure to wear your costume and come enjoy the last show of their 2020 season.
