American Airlines Adjusts Long-Haul Schedule

As reduced demand for international flights continues due to the COIVD-19 pandemic, American Airlines plans to adjust its long-haul schedule for the end of this year into the summer of 2021.

The airline expects its summer 2021 long-haul schedule to be down 25 percent when compared to summer 2019.

As part of its service to customers, American is expanding the waiving of its change fees for customers who book tickets for new travel by July 31 of this year.  All first-class, business, premium economy and main cabin tickets purchased up to the end of this month will not incur change fees prior to travel.  In addition, customers will be allowed to change their origin and destination cities as part of this offer.
