2019 Women Can Fly

Women Can Fly

A series of six Women Can Fly events will take place across the Commonwealth of Virginia this year.  Each event will include a variety of experiences including aircraft static displays, facility tours, simulation opportunities, and a flight in a general aviation aircraft.  By providing information with hands-on experiences, and demonstrating the sheer fun of flight, the goal is to encourage participants to consider learning to fly for fun or as a career.  Today women pilots represent only 7% of the total pilot population and Women Can Fly would like to increase this number.

Women Can Fly is co-sponsored by The Ninety-Nines (International Organization of Women Pilots), Virginia Department of Aviation and participating airports.  There is no charge to participate.
