Ambassadors Program

Virginia Aviation Ambassadors logoThe Virginia Aviation Ambassadors Program is designed to encourage pilots and aviation enthusiasts to visit all of Virginia's public use airports as well as aviation museums, safety seminars and special airport events such as fly-ins.  As they set and meet goals, participants will learn more about Virginia's excellent air transportation system, experience the beauty of the Commonwealth as they travel to each airport and have fun.

Participate

  • Visit your local public-use airport and request a Virginia Aviation Ambassador's Program passport.
  • Each time you visit a Virginia public-use airport, aviation museum, or safety seminar, have your passport stamped and dated.
  • As you plan your trips, keep in mind that you need to visit at least one airport from each of Virginia's seven airport regions to qualify for Bronze or Silver level.
  • When you have received the proper number of stamps entitling you to a bronze, silver, or gold level award, contact the Virginia Department of Aviation.
